Beverley Aileen Brown Pitt, of Rising Sun, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, December 10, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was 92. Born on November 19, 1924 in West Palm Beach FL, she was the daughter of Forrest Ellsworth Brown and Ella Josephine (Jacobs) Brown. When she was two years old her family moved to Colon, Panama. Fifteen years later they returned to Florida and after her graduation from high school they moved to Havre de Grace, MD. She started her career as a secretary at Aberdeen Proving Ground. After taking time off to raise her daughters she returned to APG until retirement. Beverley was an avid reader and a wonderful oil paint artist. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Beverley was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald Pitt, and her brother, Robert Brown of Yuma, AZ.
She is survived by five daughters, Kathleen Smith (Sam), Donna Reynolds (Robert), Marilyn Reburn, Robin Long (Rick) and JoEllen Pitt. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Ted Reburn II, Christopher Struble, Kelly Smith, Shane Struble, Evan Koldus and Haylee Pinto; three great grandchildren, Zachary, Tanner and Quinn Struble. Funeral Services will be held at Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, 1493 Clayton Street, Perryville MD, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 12PM. Visitation for family and friends will be 10AM-12PM, prior to the service. Reverend Hal Owens of Rising Sun, MD will officiate. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen MD. A special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice Care for their wonderful care and support.
