Arlene Marie Knerr of Elkton died Friday, October 17, 2014 at Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore. She was 87. Born in Toledo, Ohio, on May 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harry James and the late Elizabeth (Meyers) Cole. Prior to her retirement, she was a Tax Auditor for the City of Toledo. She enjoyed bowling at Elkton Lanes and playing cards. She is survived by her children, Sharon M. Wilson of North East, Kathleen S. Fitzpatrick of Elkton, Ronald Eugene Distel of Elmore, Ohio and Gary Preston Weller of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Lorene Swearengen of Minn.; two brothers, Kenneth and Roger Cole, both of Parma, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was the wife of George Patrick Knerr who died in 2000. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am until service time.
