Yvonne L. “Snookie” Jones, 68, of Oxford, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Heartland Hospice, Wilmington, DE.
Born in Oxford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Delbert Allen and Fanny C. Grey Fagan. Snookie was employed with Mushroom Cooperative, Kennett Square, PA as a Plant Supervisor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford, PA. Snookie enjoyed crafting. Aaron Neal Wilson, 29 of North East, MD, passed away after losing his long battle to addiction. He was born in Rosedale, MD on May 26, 1988. He is survived by his father and stepmother: Charles and Rebecca Wilson, North East, MD; his mother: Pamela Frye, Elkton, MD; 4 siblings: Nicole Wilson, Kyler Frye, Tyler Husfelt, all of Elkton, MD and Destiny Holbrook, North East, MD; his girlfriend of 5 years: Angee Ward, Elkton, MD; daughter: Chloe, 2 yrs old, Elkton, MD; son: Dominick, 8 yrs old, Kennett Square, PA; his grandparents: Don and Carol Frye, FL, Linda Holmes, Charlestown, MD; great grandfather: Philip Krausman, Lake Charles, LA; great grandmother: Stella Frye, FL; and his lifelong friend: Kris Bare. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ann Marie Wilson and Clifton Leon Wilson, Sr. Aaron enjoyed fishing and hunting with his Dad as a teen. He loved his family and enjoyed being around them. Aaron wanted nothing more than to beat his addiction and live a sober, pain free life away from the horrible demons that haunted him. However, God knew that Aaron could not beat this addition and fight these demons and decided it was time to ease Aaron of his pain and take him home. Linda Mae Gray, 64, of Oxford, PA, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Union Hospital, Elkton, MD. She was the wife of Marshall D. Arrowood, Jr. Born in Johnstown, PA she was the daughter of Harry and Margaret Scholly Gray of Rising Sun, MD. Linda was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Army Reserves for 20 years. She was employed by Twin Pines Nursing Home as an administrative assistant retiring in 2017. Linda enjoyed playing Bingo, Delaware Park and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband; parents; one son, William J. Arrowood of Oxford; one grandson, David Arrowood; and three brothers, Terrance Gray of Willow Street, PA, Richard Gray of Quarryville, PA and Brian Gray of Newark, DE. Anne B. Williams Kirk, 90 of Elkton, MD, died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Abbey Manor Assisted Living in Elkton. Born Sept. 11, 1927 in North East, MD, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Bryan, Sr. and Mary C. Bryan.
Anne retired from the Cecil County Health Department. After retirement, she volunteered for over 20 years at the Department of Social Services (formerly known as Dept. of Aging). During her time of volunteering at the department, she organized a Senior Travel Group in 1991 and she became the group’s travel guide for 15 years. She was a member of the Elkton United Methodist Church where she was very fond of her “upper balcony family”. Michael Edward Poppiti, age 54 of Elkton, MD, passed away with his loving wife, True Marie by his side on Fri. March 30, 2018 after a long battle with Diabetes and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). He was predeceased by his father, Carmine A. Poppiti, Sr. He is survived by his wife, True Marie Poppiti; 6 children, Steven (Jessica), William, Lance (Samantha), Danyele (Eric), Michael (Megan), Dalton; 11 grandchildren; and his father-in-law, Charles Ruble. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret (Peg) Poppiti; siblings, Carmine A. Poppiti, Jr. (Alicia), Lori-Anne Desmond (Paul), and Christopher D. Poppiti (Valarie); 3 nieces and 2 nephews. |
