Theresa Jean Bowling, 73 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 in the Laurelwood Healthcare Center of Elkton, MD. Born June 17, 1944 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Tracey M. and Rebea Robinson Dorn.
Mrs. Bowling was formerly employed for 44 years as a Home Health Aide by Trinity Home Health Care of Elkton, MD. She is survived by her husband, Edward E. Bowling of Port Deposit, MD; son, Jimmy L. Parks; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and half-sister, Jackie Pruitt of North Carolina. Florence W. Kidd, 84 of North East, MD, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD.
A lifelong resident of North East, she was born on October 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Herbert S. and Erma (Moyer) Wood. She was the wife of the late William Kidd. Florence worked as a legal secretary for Joe Mahoney, Elkton, MD. She was a member of Hart’s UM Church in Elk Neck and the Christian Messengers singing group. She is survived by her children: Ruth St. John (Marc) of Summerton, NC, Royce Logan (Debbie), Alice Sturgill and Jean Logan all of North East, MD; 7 grandchildren: Suzanne, Sheri, Norman, Leslie, Jennifer, Sam and Rachel; and 11 great grandchildren. Jerry Mitchell Jackson, Jr., 61 of Aberdeen, MD, died Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Elkton, MD, on July 22, 1956. Jerry loved fishing, flea markets, motorcycles, playing the lottery and most of all enjoyed being with people. He retired due to disability. Jerry is survived by his wife: Mary Ellen (Vickers) Jackson; mother and stepfather: Mary and Amos Mullens; father and stepmother: Jerry, Sr. and Dottie Jackson; children: Luke, Matthew, Mark, and Timothy; stepchildren: Shannon, Sara, Elisabeth and Michael; sister: Lycinda and husband, Bryant Clem; niece: Jessica and her children; nephew: Keith. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren. Gary Allen Lambert, III, was born sleeping in the arms of the angels on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
Alan Fox, 72 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 in the University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD. Born November 13, 1945 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Dewey Neal and Hilda Hornberger Fox.
Alan was employed by the Aberdeen Proving Ground for thirty years as an Illustrator. He previously worked as an Illustrator for the former Bainbridge Naval Training Center. He was a graduate of Perryville High School, Cecil Community College and the University of New York. Alan was a member of the Cecil County Historical Society and authored and published a book on the town of Perryville. He served four terms as a Perryville Town Commissioner. He was a founding member of the Perryville Alumni group that met monthly for lunch and called themselves the “Old Farts”. Alan was an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church and enjoyed performing wedding ceremonies. |
