Albert Wayne McGuigan of Conowingo died at home Thursday, November 28, 2013. He was 78. Born May 26, 1935 in Cape May, NJ, he was the son of the late William Paul and Mae Hallburner McGuigan. He was saved and baptized into the family of God. An avid sportsman, he was a lifelong member of the Pilottown Rod & Gun Club of Conowingo.
He is survived by his sons, Albert Ricky McGuigan and wife, Sally, of Conowingo, Ronald Lee McGuigan and wife, Prudence, of Mountain City, Tenn., Wesley E. McGuigan and wife, Kathleen, of Conowingo; daughters, Donna Lynn Grant, Sharon Mae McGuigan, Patricia Ann Fry and husband, David, all of Conowingo, Connie Marie Fritts and husband, Joseph, of Rising Sun; 15 grandchildren and their spouses; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Lydia Eastridge Fisher of Conowingo, Pauline Sheets of New York and Betty Ann Hughes of Quarryville, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews and their families and many friends and neighbors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura June McCall McGuigan; son, Stephen Wayne McGuigan; brothers, Francis Allen McGuigan, Fred McGuigan, Arthur Ralph McGuigan; and sisters, Margaret Dinsmore, Florence Fisher and Edith Cochran. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2013, 11 a.m., at the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013, 7-9 p.m., at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of Pleasant View Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Conowingo Baptist Church Cemetery. Comments are closed.
