Kimberly Ann Jones, 58 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at home. Born January 9, 1960 in Fort Lee, VA, she was the daughter of Nancy Thomas Barr of Perryville, MD, and the late Richard Barr.
Kim was retired from the V.A. Medical Center of Perry Point, MD, following 38 ½ years of service. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD, and a member of the Community Fire Company of Perryville, MD. Kim is survived by her husband, Michael Jones of Perryville, MD; son, Joseph Barr and his companion, Danielle Albanese, of North East, MD; daughters, Jeanie Jones and Heather Jones; and six grandchildren, Patrick Lindsey, Evan Lindsey, Leviaz Deer, Serenity Swift, Jakob Barr and Madison Swift. Brenda Lea Martin, 73, of West Grove, formerly of Oxford, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at Jennersville Hospital Tower Health, West Grove.
Born in Pocahontas, VA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Cartwright Martin. Brenda retired from Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD, as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Rhonda Lynn Russell of North East died Sunday, November 4, 2018. She was 63. She was born April 10, 1955 in Wilmington, Del. Mrs. Russell loved yard sales, auctions and jewelry. She also enjoyed all kinds of music. But her greatest blessings were her grandsons; they were her world. She is survived by her husband, Richard Russell; children, Sara Muehlberger (Darren) of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Ronald F. Magliacane of Newark, Del.; two2 sisters, Denise Landis and Wendy Cunningham; and the lights of her life, her grandsons, Joseph, Bradley, Jacob, Caspian and Thomas. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 13, at 11 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10. Burial will follow in Boulden’s Chapel Cemetery, Elkton. Emma Mella Wagner, age 73 of Conowingo, MD passed away on November 5, 2018. She was born on August 5, 1945 to the late John H. Robinson and Amy Virginia (Crothers) Robinson. Emma had a passion for working with children and worked as a 4th grade teacher at Conowingo Elementary school for 30 years. She was a devout Christian and a longtime member of Conowingo Baptist Church. Emma enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She spent a lot of time on the beach in Ocean City, MD and enjoyed reading. She was a devoted fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. Cindy Lee Reber, 55 of Elkton, MD, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.
Born in Ephrata, PA, on July 23, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Thomas and Leonora (Wynings) Reber. Cindy worked as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart, Elkton, MD. She enjoyed watching World of Outlaw Sprint Car Racing, NASCAR, horses, motorcycles and being at the ocean. Richard B. McCummings, age 65, of Rising Sun, MD passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2018 at his home. Born January 22, 1953 in West Grove, PA, Richard was the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Pyle) McCummings. Richard was an avid sports enthusiast. He was known for staying up to date with all sports standings including the local High School and college sports teams. Some of his favorite teams were the Ravens, Orioles, Blue Rocks and the Iron Birds. He especially enjoyed following his daughter’s sporting events; he was her biggest fan and most enthusiastic supporter. Richard was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 194. He was a social man who loved to mingle with his friends and family, making sure everyone was having a good time. No matter where Richard went on his travels he always crossed paths with someone he knew. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and working in his yard ensuring that his lawn’s landscape was in pristine order. His greatest joy was his time spent with his daughter, Autumn. Whether they were going to the movies or just enjoying some leisure time at home, Richard devoted his life to being an exceptional father for her. Thomas “TJ” James McMillan of Rising Sun, MD, age 22, passed away tragically on Friday, November 2, 2018. He was born in Lancaster, PA on July 20, 1996 to Jamie Donald McMillan and Amy (Bauguess) McMillan. TJ graduated from Rising Sun High School in 2015. He went on to attend Cecil College full time, pursing his degree in computer programming and game design. He was a member of the national honor society, Alpha Alpha Theta. TJ led a bible study group and was a member of the GBC, a model club, both through Cecil College. He was a very active member at Conowingo Baptist Church, working the sound system for services and a member of the college and career church group. A talented young man, TJ built and painted Gundam models. He enjoyed playing airsoft and was a train enthusiast. TJ was happy and fun-loving person, described as a “shining star” who could light up a room with his smile. Above all, TJ was very strong in his faith and helped others before helping himself. He never let his disability stop him from achieving his goals. TJ preached about his autism, saying that his disability was really an ability to reach people through Christ. He witnessed to the very end, when the emergency crews took home the word through the gospel tracks that he always carried with him. Valeria Kay Mayfield, 66 of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. She was born in Havre de Grace, MD, on April 23, 1952. Valeria worked as a nursing assistant at Perry Point VA Medical Center. She collected rhinestones and liked playing “Words with Friends”. The joys of her life were her grandchildren and she loved spending her time with them. Survivors include her husband: Larry W. Mayfield; 3 daughters: Crista M. Sunderland (Jesse) of Elkton, MD, Michelle Rust of Magnolia, DE and Brandy Alley of Elkton, MD; her mother and stepfather: Gail and Dewain Ess of Landenberg, PA; 3 siblings: Elizabeth McCloskey (Strat) of New Castle, DE, William "Ted" Lewis (Brenda) of Bear, DE, Glenda Goeller (Bill) of North East, MD; the lights of her life: 2 grandchildren: Tyler McCall and Kayla McCall and one great grandchild on the way. William E. McGraw, Jr., age 48, of Elkton, MD, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 23, 2018. William loved the Lord with all his heart and was passionate about sharing Jesus with others. He loved ministering to young people. William was also a family man who cherished each one, especially the grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, painting, and drawing. James K. Frederick, age 57 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on October 30, 2018. Born May 22, 1961 in Baltimore, MD, James was the son of the late Edward and Ila Frederick. James was an animal lover but especially loved his dogs. He enjoyed visiting with his friends all around Rising Sun and was known for having his cup of coffee and a scratch off nearby. He also enjoyed spending the holidays with his family, playing cards, board games, puzzles and putting together car models. He enjoyed going to High School Football games, Orioles games and bowling with his father. James will be missed dearly by his family and his many friends. |
