Vince Yale had long hoped to take a vacation to Europe. He got the opportunity this summer, but it wasn't solely a sightseeing trip. Yale recently returned from Kutno, Poland, where he worked as an umpire in the Little League Softball Europe and Africa Region tournament. If the Rising Sun Little League Major Division All-Stars baseball team is going to win a state championship, it will have to do so the same way the nucleus of the squad took the 10-11 title last summer.
Just like last season, Rising Sun dropped the first game of the tournament, falling 6-2 to Delmar Saturday in Easton. The Rising Sun 10-11 baseball team lost 7-3 to Delmar Thursday night in the state title game.
