Christopher Jones, the Cecil County Sheriff's Deputy injured in a traffic collision yesterday, has been treated and released from Shock Trauma.
According to Sheriff's Office spokesman Lieutenant Michael Holmes, Jones was traveling eastbound on West Pulaski Highway (Route 40) in the area of Red Toad Road in his CCSO cruiser at approximately 4:54 p.m.
Holmes said the deputy was responding with his emergency equipment activated to assist another deputy who was actively attempting to apprehend a high risk wanted subject. The deputy crashed into another vehicle in the area of the West Pulaski Highway and Red Toad Road intersection.
The other vehicle was a pickup truck occupied by the driver, Michael Wayne Price of North East, and a passenger, Germaine Bethea of Baltimore. Both Price and Bethea are in stable condition at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del.
