On January 31, with the parting words "I'm sorry, Mom" posted on social media, Daniel Carducci took his own life.
An uncharacteristically selfish act for a teen who spent most of his life putting others first.
Carducci, 17, a Perryville High School senior, honor student, athlete, farmhand, dad's best friend, mom's boy and devoted little brother, used a gun that was legally registered to his father. Danny was familiar with the gun. He built it himself and used it while target shooting with family, and killed himself.
A new Perryville business is as much about giving back as it is about working out.
Pura Vida Yoga, a veteran-owned, Christian business opened with no fanfare on December 1. A grand opening with formal ribbon cutting was held Friday.
The business is owned by New Jersey transplants Becky and Jeremy Rondone. The Rondones landed in Cecil County as a result of being stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Jeremy remains in the service.
