Giving a pint before the parade

Vince Yale was planning to attend Saturday's Christmas parade in North East with his grandson Cooper.
But before the merriment began, Yale had a job to do. He was donating Power Reds at the first ever Susquehanna American Legion Post 135 blood drive.
"I do power reds. You're eligible to give every 112 days," said Yale.
"It's to save lives. People need plasma or platelets."
Phlebotomist Shakia Gibbs explained what Yale was enduring.
Back in the early 1990s, the Town of Perryville began honoring veterans by installing special star street signs named for those who served.
