Two dead following Elkton collision
On November 5, 2015 at approximately 1:05 p.m., Cecil Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 2400 block of Old Elk Neck Road, Elkton, for a motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, deputies located two vehicles involved in the collision. One vehicle, identified as a passenger vehicle, had left the roadway and overturned. The front seat passenger and rear seat passenger were pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Christiana Hospital in Delaware by ambulance. The second vehicle, identified as a sport utility vehicle, was in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle initially refused treatment at the scene but was later transported to Union Hospital by a family member for non-life threatening injuries. The driver was the only occupant of the second vehicle. Names of all parties are currently being withheld pending next of kin notification. Corporal James Keller and Deputy First Class Michael Strohecker are conducting the accident investigation and were being assisted by Patrolman First Class Todd Finch of the Elkton Police Department.
