A Rising Sun man was flown from the scene of a Port Deposit crash, which occurred about 2:15 p.m. today, Thursday, January 9.
Michael P. Jepsen, 50, was airlifted to Shock Trauma following the collision at Firetower Road, Port Deposit
TFC Ricky Woollens reported that Jepsen was driving a Chevrolet Cruze which was northbound on Jacob Tome Highway. His vehicle was struck by a Pontiac G5 which was driven by Ryan Charles Gividen, 23, of Marley Road, Elkton. Gividen was turning left onto Tome Highway from Camp Meeting Ground Road.
The Pontiac then pushed the Chevy into a school bus, number T2, which was driven by Elizabeth Ann Buda, of Port Deposit. The bus is operated by Marshall Bus Company. No students were on board the bus at the time of the crash.
Gividen was cited for failure to yield right-of-way when making a left turn.
Traffic in the area was diverted around the crash scene.
