There is a way to help you cope with that holiday case of "missing" someone.
Once again, a Remembrance Tree is being placed at the Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation.
All are invited to participate in the free Remembrance Tree program which gives you a way to remember a loved one during the holiday season. The name of a loved one is written on a ribbon. The ribbon is then placed on the tree which is on the front porch of Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation, 229 East Main Street, Elkton, and will remain there until early in the new year. For the second year, there is also a tree for children.
The annual ceremony for the tree will be held on Friday, December 5 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. This event is free and open to all.
This event is sponsored by Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation, Cecil County State's Attorney's Office, the Cecil County Child Advocacy Center and Office of Family Violence Program, Season Hospice and Palliative Care, Amedisys Hospice, Cecil County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard, Elkton FOP, Parents of Murdered Children, Ross and Debbie Gibson, and Union Hospital Foundation.
