The Town of Perryville is about to host a community get together.
This event, the first ever Lower Ferry Festival, is set for Saturday, September 16 from 1-6 p.m. This will be the first town event hosted at the Lower Ferry Park since a host of improvements and upgrades have come to that area - the 100 block of Roundhouse Drive.
The event is for the whole family. There will be a beer garden, food trucks, bounce houses, and a DJ playing music. There will be games and other entertainment. There will also be a cornhole tournament.
Vendors and food trucks are currently being asked to sign on.
Booth space, 10 foot by 10 foot, will be available for tents. Vendors will pay $10 and are asked to specify if they will have retail or food. There will also be vendors from non-profits.
Food trucks can sign on as a vendor for a $15 fee. The trucks must have their own power. Set up on event day begins at noon. Vendors must remain on site until 6 p.m. Vendor reservations will be accepted until August 28 and must be pre-paid.
Submit vendor applications to Town of Perryville 515 Broad Street POB 773, Perryville, Md. 21903.
"It's an event to get the community together," said Perryville town staffer Amy Yackanech.
Applications are available on the town website.
