Miller selected to lead libraries
The Cecil County Public Library Board of Trustees has announced that after a careful review of candidates, Acting Director Morgan Miller has been selected as the new Director of Cecil County Public Libraries.
Miller has been Acting Director since July 1. She replaced former director Denise Davis who retired from the post after serving for 15 years.
During the past decade, Miller has built a record of accomplishments both locally and on the state level, fostering collaboration and innovation while pursuing the mission and vision of Cecil County Public Library. The board also recognizes and deeply appreciates the outstanding library staff that have worked with Miller and have been a part of this success.
"In addition to the work we do as librarians and the people we serve, what has inspired me the most throughout my library career are the professionals of Cecil
Public Libraries and its Board," said Miller. "Together we have created a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence that has built far more than great services and branches - we've built community, aspiration, and opportunity for the citizens of Cecil County. I am proud and grateful to lead CCPL and its powerful mission into the future."
"We share Morgan's dedication, energy, and enthusiasm for CCPL, the library profession and the community of Cecil County," stated Board President Brigadier General Kennard Wiggins. "We are confident that she will continue to lead the library's culture of world-class quality and the pursuit of individual and community success."
