A Pennsylvania man was taken into custody by Rising Sun police about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday after he allegedly pulled a gun on PFC Daniel Stickney.
Stickney performed a traffic stop on the vehicle on East Main Street, at Clean Enterprises/Rising Sun Car Wash. He said that the passenger pulled a gun from his waistband.
The man was identified as Edward Cummings, 29, of Peach Bottom, Pa. Cummings is facing weapons charges, and other charges including reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
Cecil Sheriff's Deputies and Maryland State Police assisted at the scene. The vehicle, a Mercury Mountaineer, was impounded.
