If something's been "needling" you, the Rising Sun Arts Alliance has the cure.
And it's not acupuncture.
The arts alliance will host its first ever Sit n' Stitch on Saturday, February 13. The event will be held at Martin's Cafe from 1-3 p.m.
Those who are interested are encouraged to bring knitting projects, crochet, cross-stitch, needlepoint, and felting. Shelley Leishear, one of the founders of the arts alliance, calls the event "creative therapy."
She also said it will give people the opportunity to meet new people as well as swap hints, tips, and techniques.
Leishear said people can start new projects or just complete ones that have been sitting around.
"This is a great opportunity to enjoy some good, old fashioned creative camaraderie. Feel free to bring children that have items to work on and enjoy some quality time relaxing in a fun atmosphere," said Leishear.
Children have to sit with their parents during this event.
Each person is responsible for bringing their own project materials.
Anyone with questions is asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Leishear also said the ending time of 3 p.m. is flexible. If people want to stay on for another hour, they are welcome to do so.
