Three markets, one family.
Amanda Hickman, Perryville's economic development coordinator, said that's the way the new farm market season is shaping up in Cecil County.
Perryville, North East, and Elkton, are all hosting farm markets this year.
Elkton's opened in April and is running three days a week - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Both Perryville and North East are open on Friday afternoons.
Perryville's Market runs Fridays from 3-7 p.m. Two new vendors signed on this year - Thunder Ridge Kettle Corn and BGR Winery. Other items to be offered from vendors include: fruits, vegetables, herbs, ice cream, cheese, baked goods, jams/jellies/preserves, organic soaps and lotions, beef, poultry, eggs, flowers and crafts.
"More will show up throughout the season," said Hickman.
The market will remain in Lower Ferry Park.
The location is slightly shifted closer to Broad Street and Roundhouse Drive.
"People are looking forward to the market. The regulars miss it and the vendors are excited," said Hickman.
Some vendors are at more than one of the markets.
North East is open Fridays, 2-6 p.m. May 6 through October 28 in the 300 block of South Main Street.
