Buy local. Eat fresh.
That slogan, for the Perryville Farmers' Market, is designed to bring locals and visitors to downtown Perryville's Lower Ferry Park. Every Friday, from 3-6 p.m. from now through October, vendors will be selling items at the corner of Roundhouse Drive and Broad Street.
Vendors for this year as of last week include, Romancing the Scone with fresh baked goods and scones, Happily Ever Homestead with cut flowers, planted flowers, and wood crafts, FCD Foods with salsa, hot sauce, and sauerkraut, Dove Valley Winery with locally produced wines, The Green Bean with seasonal veggies, plants, and flowers, Firetower Farm Brewery with local craft beer, North with handmade knitted and crocheted items, BGR Winery, Perfectly Preserved with jams, jellies, and baked goods, and Rock Run Hollow with honey.
Vendors can sign on for anytime during the season. It costs $25 for the entire season or $5 per day to sell at the market. Call the market manager at 410-642-6066 or visit the website, www.perryvillemd.org, for a vendor application.
