In other business from the Elkton Chamber/Alliance:
• A few weeks ago, a perspective buyer toured the building at 107 North Street, the former Elkton town hall, which has been vacant since the county left it in 2008.
There has been a great deal of interest in the old town hall/county building property lately.
Prospective buyers were touring it Wednesday while Mayor Alt was outside taking a phone call. "There has been a tremendous amount of interest in it. I'm optimistic that sooner or later something will be up and running there," said Alt.
There is currently a contract on the building but officials are prohibited from disclosing further information at this time.
