Cecil's Boys & Girls Club units are working to provide a warming trend in Cecil County.
The clubs are now joining the Kiwanis Club, Cecil County Public Schools, and O'Kleen Cleaners in the 27th annual Coats for Kids Drive.
Now through December 1, new and used coats, for children and adults, are being collected at local public schools. The Boys & Girls Clubs have now signed on as a drop off point. There are clubs in Elkton, North East, Charlestown, and Rising Sun.
The coats are laundered at O'Kleen Cleaners. They will then be distributed at the Cecil County Help Center to anyone who needs a coat.
Coats for Kids was originally started by Delegate David Rudolph. He turned coordination of the program over to the Kiwanis a few years ago.
