Chesapeake City Councilman Frank Vari wants to keep hearts beating in that town.
Vari, in cooperation with American Heart Association CPR/AED instructors David Pardee, Sr. and Wendi Pardee, is offering lifesaving classes in the town.
The CPR and AED classes will be held twice, on April 21 and again on May 26. Classes will be held at 6 p.m. at Chesapeake City Town Hall, 108 Bohemia Avenue.
Upon successful completion of the course, including a skills test, students receive a Heartsaver CPR/AED course completion card which is valid for two years. The course covers key changes in CPR/AED from the new science incorporated in 2010.
Registration is required and limited to 20 participants per class. The classes are open to all ages. There is a cost of $5 per person which pays the card processing fee. For more information and registration call David Pardee at 443-907-9240.
