20 years of Fall Fest
Get ready for a Fall Fest to remember.
This year marks the 20th Fall Fest in downtown Elkton. To mark the milestone, additional entertainment has been added and activities have been expanded.
Fall Fest is set for Friday, September 16 from 5-9 p.m. The downtown streets will close at 3 p.m. for the car show. Live entertainment will be provided by The Real Diamond: Neil Diamond tribute artists from 6-8 p.m.
Fall Fest events run from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday. In addition to returning favorites, new activities have been added this year. Project Purpose, which is a fundraiser for the Project Prom iniative, is hosting a family fun fair in the Howard Street parking lot. They will have low cost kid friendly activities, face painting, and door prizes. That runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Downtown Art Fest has been integrated into Fall Fest. They will host a juried art show in the 100 block of East Main Street. There will also be live music at the Eder Park Pavilion as part of Art Fest.
Crafters, vendors, and a moon bounce will be offered in the downtown all day. Entertainment schedule is as follows:
8:30 a.m. crafters and vendors open
9:30 a.m. Cecil 500 push cart derby
10 a.m. pretty baby contest
10 a.m. live music at Eder Park with Plan B
11 a.m. Live performances by Bobbie Ann's Dance Studio
1-3 p.m. Elkton's Voice Singing Contest
4-6 p.m. Live music by The Blues Brotherhood (Blues Brothers Tribute)
6-8 p.m. Live music by Robert Eric's tribute to the Piano Man (Billy Joel tribute)
Approximately 6,000 people will attend Fall Fest over the two days.
