Two people were charged after state police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Nottingham Rd. (Rt. 272) and Soapstone Hill Rd., Fulton Township, at 1:22 a.m. on September 27, Trooper Chad Dohner reported.
Police tried to stop the Pontiac Sunfire and a brief pursuit followed. When the driver stopped the vehicle, Adam Temple, 20, of Peach Bottom, and Destinie Carson, 23, of Peach Bottom, were taken into custody.
Temple was charged with driving under the influence, recklessly endangering another person, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carson was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A third person in the car, an 18-year-old man from Peach Bottom, was not charged.
State police also reported the following incidents in the Southern End:
VANDALISM - The driver of the car that slammed into a house on September 12 has been charged for the collision, state police reported.
Timothy Chavez, 35, of Landisville, has been charged with criminal mischief and recklessly endangering another person, Trooper Michael Artale said.
According to the trooper, Chavez's car was driven off Pine Dr and into the house in an attempt to commit suicide. Chavez fled the scene and was found a short time later in the Octoraro Lake.
Chavez was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for medical treatment and a mental health commitment, the trooper said.
Damage to the house was estimated at $5,001.
HARASSMENT - A 17-year-old boy from Quarryville was charged with harassment following an incident at a bus stop at 3:25 p.m. on September 26, Trooper Evan Buehrer reported.
According to the trooper, the boy stared at a 28-year-old woman at the bus stop on Lancaster Pike and then made an intimidating gesture using his fingers as a gun.
EAST DRUMORE TOWNSHIP
PFA VIOLATION - Donna Worrilow, 67, of Airville, was charged with violating a protection from abuse order for allegedly calling an East Drumore resident numerous times and leaving a voice mail on September 9, Trooper George Lockhart reported.
COLLISION - Kevin Sanken, 46, of Christiana was slightly injured when the van he was driving ran off Deaver Rd. and hit an embankment at 6:44 p.m. on September 23, Trooper Steven Kase reported.
Sanken was driving west when he swerved to miss a deer running across the road, the trooper said. Sanken complained of head and lower back pain but refused medical treatment. He was not cited for the collision.
POSSESSION - Jesse Becker, 42, of Kirkwood was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident on Ridgeview Dr. at 6;09 p.m. on September 11, Trooper Nolen McElwee reported.
Police were called to the home for an active verbal domestic incident. When they arrived, they found Becker trespassing on the property. There was a warrant out for Becker's arrest, the trooper said. When they took him into custody, he had drug paraphernalia.
THEFT - Someone used a Pennsy Rd. resident's debit card information to make numerous fraudulent transactions in Florida on August 25 and 25, Trooper Nolen McElwee reported. The victim's bank refunded the $1,800, the trooper said.
FORGERY - Someone used a Holtwood Rd. resident's information to open a PPL account without her permission, Trooper Nolen McElwee reported. The incident was reported on August 15.
BURGLARY - Someone broke into a building on River Rd. between September 3 and September 5, Trooper Nolen McElwee reported.
DRUGS - A suspect was taken into custody shortly after 8 p.m. on September 23 by police investigating a complaint of drug activity at 41 Main St., Trooper Steven Kase reported.
THEFT - State police are investigating reports an employee stole from Speedway, Beaver Valley Pike (Rt. 222), between September 11 and 13, Trooper Nolen McElwee reported. The employee allegedly took $160 worth of $1 Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-off tickets and $215 in cash.
ASSAULT - A 17-year-old boy from Pequea was charged with assault after he allegedly hit another boy with a metal baseball bat. Trooper Steven Stechman reported. The incident occurred on Pennsy Rd. at 7:30 p.m. on August 18.
COLLISION - There were no injuries when a compact car hit a deer on May Post Office Rd. at 9:19 p.m. on September 25, Trooper George Lockhart reported.
According to the trooper, Kurstin Beane, 24, of Strasburg, was driving south when a deer jumped out in front of her car.
