The Solanco softball team is saying goodbye to nine seniors who helped the squad to a 16-6 record and fourth place finish in the district.
"This group has had a lot of wins," Solanco coach Brett Miller said. "They have done a lot for the program. Some of them were three-year starters and have helped advance the program."
Kortnee Kreider, Kerri Mauger, Emily Parmer, Brittany Fisher, Sam Graver, Emma Kreider, Morgan Hodson, Danae Dombach, and Kate Herr are graduating Wednesday night.
"They've been playing together for many years and it showed," Solanco coach Brett Miller said. "Some were leaders. Others were role players. But they all contributed and that's what you need to have to have a year like we had."
Solanco's softball season ended one win short of a trip to the state tournament.
The Mules lost 7-2 to Manheim Township Friday in a District 3 consolation game at Muhlenberg High School.
The Blue Streaks used some bloops and two blasts to garner the district's third and final state tournament berth.
