Perryville girls track and field team finished first and Bo Manor's boys captured first at the Cecil Invitational at Bo Manor, last Tuesday, April 11. The girls (129) topped Rising Sun (91.5), Bo Manor (64.5), Elkton (49), and North East (39). The Panthers took two of the relay races, Katelyn Broughman, Christen Dodson, Jasmyn Strong, and Kacey Marcinkevich combined triumphed in the 4x100. Dodson, Strong, Broughman, and Ellie Kuhn also took the 4x200. Dodson also prevailed in the 200 meter distance race. Jarah Cevis took first in shot put, and second in discus. Her teammate Dodson took first in discus. Emani Bell placed second in shot put. Kailee McCutchen took the 100 and 300 meter hurdle events. Alysa Conway prevailed in the long jump and Ellie Kuhn placed second in the pole vault. Rising Sun's Madison Webb, Cassidy Boyd, Ariannna Wheeler, and Allison Backert, captured the 4x400 relay race. Backert nabbed first in high jump and her teammate Annalia Webb took second. Bo Manor took four of the distance races, Kristin Waltz prevailed in the 400 and 800. Elle Meyer took the 1600 and 3200. The Eagles' Meyer, Marissa Pixler, Aubrey Preske, and Waltz, together placed first in the 4x800 relay race. Hanna Clarke prevailed in the triple jump. The Elk's Kyla Wilson placed first in the 100 meter distance race. Kyla Wilson took second and her teammate Makayla Peterson, took third in the 200. Asia Travers took third for the Elks in shot put and Aiden Wilbur placed third in pole vault. Destiney Peterson took second in the long jump. North East's Niya Khanjar prevailed in the pole vault. Sophie Kubek placed third in discus. In the boys team competition, Bo Manor (122) triumphed over North East (97), Perryville (69.5), Elkton (47), and Rising Sun (38.5). Bo Manor took four of the distance races, John Knight triumphed in the 400, Alex Longeway took the 800 and the 1600. Zachary Laird won the 3200. The Eagles took two of the relay races, Robert Messick, Knight, Grant Franceschina, and Damian Zimmers combined, won the 4x400. Luc Bollen, Sean Roelofd, Ryan Fitzwater, and Alexander Luzetsky, together took the win in the 4x800. Anthony Egurola prevailed in both hurdle events and Cameron Garcia took the triple jump. The Indians' Taylor Danglade prevailed in the 100 distance race. Jordan McCullum, Michael King, Danglade, and Jalen Giles took the 4x100 meter relay. Connor Yedinak swept the shot put and discus. Anneric Potts prevailed in the high jump. The Panthers' Zach Buckson, Cage Jones, Chris Schuler, and Caleb Robinson took the 4x200 meter relay. Jones swept the pole vault and long jump. Elkton's Trevin Ewing placed first in 200 meter race andLeighton Lewis took second in discus.
