Led by Top 5 finishes from Elle Meyer and Grant Franceschina, Bohemia Manor placed fourth in the girls team competition and was fifth among Class 1A boys at Saturday's state meet at Hereford High. Meyer was fourth followed by Tara McDonald 18th, Jamie Rhudy 27th, Lena Seidenberg 40th, and Marissa Pixler 42nd. Perryville placed seventh in the team standings paced by a 22nd place finish by Aleah Losoya. Kayla Losoya was 43rd with Hannah Henson 53rd, Sydney Ray 54th, and Skylar Vanderweile 59th. Haley Wright of Boonsboro won the race to spark her team to the title. Francheschina was the highest placing county runner on the day, placing third. Teammate Alex Longeway was sixth followed by Zack Laird 14th, Luc Bollen 56th, and Jack Franceschina 58th. Matt Salvatore of Perryville earned a medal with a 20th place finish. The Top 25 individual finishers receive a medal. Salvatore was followed by Panther teammates Eric Phillips 43rd, Joseph Negron 51st, Jacob Taylor 63rd, and Cage Jones 78th. In 2A girls, Rising Sun's Alanah Bell earned a medal with a 22nd place finish. Emma Wheeler was 57th with Danielle Lee 77th, Kiona Brady 93rd, and Arianna Wheeler 98th. The Tigers placed 12th in the team standings, two spots better than last year. Phil Hurm of Rising Sun (29th) was the top Cecil finisher in the 2A boys race. North East's Nathan Galloway placed 69th. Evan Shrewsbury led Elkton with a 72nd place finish. The Elks were 16th in the team standings. Comments are closed.
