The Perryville boys and girls track and field teams won a three-team meet at North East Tuesday, April 1. The Panther girls (119.5) easily outdistanced the Indians (53), and Havre de Grace (10.5). Sierra Montz captured the high hurdles, intermediate hurdles, and long jump to lead Perryville. Angelica Conway (100 in 13.68) and Taesha Andre (200 in 27.81) each won an individual event and were part of three victorious relay teams. Autumn Estep (400 in 1:04) and Aleah Losoya (3200 in 13:22) both had a first place finish.
In the field events, Teri Wennersten (4-6 in the high jump), Paiton Kelly (7-6 in the pole vault), and Brooke Doane (29 feet in the triple jump) each triumphed. Conway, Andre, Estep, and Alysa Conway combined to win the 4 x 100. Andre, Angelica Conway, Christen Dodson, and Jordan Dodson teamed to take the 4 x 200. Angelica Conway, Andre, Jordan Dodson, and Tori Antoshak prevailed in the 4 x 400. For North East, Kaitlyn Henderson (1600 in 6:17), Erin Palmer (800 in 2:40), Sarah Kubat (28 feet in the shot put), and Susan Travis (86-10 in the discus) each won an individual event. Henderson, Palmer, Crystal McCollum, and Hannah Bubar won the 4 x 800 relay. The Perryville boys (67) defeated North East (61), and Havre de Grace (57). Tyler McCall (800 in 2:09), Adam Thornton (3200 in 10:25), Jeff Pollard (39-4.5 in the shot put) and Elijah Johnson (18-11.5 in the long jump) each won an individual event. McCall, Alex Shires, Ryan Norris, and Justin Harreld teamed to win the 4 x 800 relay. McCall, Johnson, Mitchell Johansen, and Melvin Dowdy combined to capture the 4 x 400. The Indians' Dean Palmer had a big day with wins in the 100 (11.75), 200 (24:59), and pole vault (11-6). Doug Moore (400 in 57.91) and Alec Preisch (105-4 in the discus) each notched a win.
