The Perryville girls and the Elkton boys won a three-team meet at Rising Sun last Thursday. The Panthers (80.5) won the girls competition over Elkton (58.5) and Rising Sun (39). Sierra Montz captured three individual events to pace Perryville. Montz prevailed in the high hurdles (10.3 seconds), intermediate hurdles (52.28), and long jump (13-8). Taesha Andre won the 100 in a time of 13.88 and the 400 in 1:03.81. Jordan Dodson triumphed in the 1600 (5:58) and 3200 (13:14). Alysa Conway (200 in 28.65), Jillian Miller (spot put - 24-1.25), Hailey MacDonald (pole vault - 8 feet), and Brooke Doane (triple jump - 29-.25) each earned a victory. In the boys team competition, Elkton (70), Perryville (65), and Rising Sun (59). The Tigers' Cody Thomas captured the 800 (2:13.52) and 1600 (5:01). Kevin Alkinburg (3200 in 11:15), Josh Anderson (shot put - 38-1.75), and Alex Kerns (discus - 112-3) each earned a victory. For Perryville, Shawn Montz (high hurdles in 16.65), Cam Cunningham (high jump-5-10), and Elijah Johnson (triple jump-40-.5) each had a win. AJ Wilmot and Zyphere Ruffin each won two events for Elkton. Wilmot won the 100 in a time of 11.78 and the 200 in 24.18. Ruffin took the intermediate hurdles in 41.4 and won the long jump with a distance of 20 feet. Tashaun Stalk (400 in 54.93) and Aric Wilbur (pole vault - 10 feet) each triumphed in an individual event. Comments are closed.
