Roger Owens hasn't cleaned enough winter coats this year.
That's why Owens, who owns Village Laundry and O'Kleen Cleaners, both in Elkton, has extended the annual Coats for Kids campaign.
Owens, whose businesses clean gently used coats free of charge and then drops them at the Cecil County Help Center, said last week that not enough coats were collected this year. Owens said that the annual 2017 Coats for Kids campaign didn't yield as many donated coats this year. That's why he will continue to clean donated coats until mid February.
