A major drainage overhaul in Port Deposit is about to begin.
Last week, crews from Pessoa Construction began moving equipment into Port Deposit's town hall. For the next two years, they will be in town completing a massive storm drain project.
That project is 100 percent funded by the State Highway Administration. "They will be replacing drains all along Main Street," said town administrator Vicky Rinkerman. The scope of work also includes the installation of new drainage outfalls and selective water and sewer line replacement.
