Those well paved roads in Charlestown's Cool Springs subdivision have turned into a speedway.
That road and others, where drivers are exceeding the speed limit, motivated town officials to lead off the town newsletter "Charlestown Chatter" with a warning entitled "Slow Down Save a Life". Town administrator Wib Pumpaly explained that town officials have been fielding complaints regarding speeding drivers.
Those complaints express concern that children and pets are in the area and could chase a ball or other toy. Parents of teen drivers were also urged to discuss speeding with their children.
