A Quarryville woman was charged after she allegedly assaulted her mother and her son, state police said.
Melissa Blessing, 43, was charged with assault with bodily injury at 2:25 p.m. on July 9, Trooper Matthew Weckesser reported.
According to the trooper, Blessing allegedly pulled her mother by the shirt and threw household items at her. When Blessing's son tried to intervene, she reportedly scratched him in numerous places.
State police also reported the following incidents in the Southern End:
THEFT - Someone stole a vehicle license plate from 150 Quaker Church Rd., Trooper Trevor Gauntlett reported. The theft was reported July 22 and apparently occurred sometime between December 1, 2018, and the date it was reported, the trooper said. The license was not attached to any vehicle when it disappeared.
STANDOFF - Mark Anthony Cobb, 38, was taken into custody without incident following a standoff in the 1400 block of Lancaster Pike (Rt. 272) on August 13.
The incident began at 11:26 p.m. on August 12, Trooper Nelson Renno reported, when police received a report that Cobb may be suicidal and and threatened to kill another man.
State police called in the emergency response team and negotiated with Cobb, who surrendered shortly after 5 a.m. on August 13. Cobb was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for evaluation. When he was released from the hospital, he was arraigned on terroristic threat charges. He was arraigned and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
Fire police closed Rt. 272 between Spring Valley Rd. and Chestnut Level Rd. during the incident.

THEFT - Someone stole a trailer carrying a John Deere tractor from the parking lot behind Musser's Market, Friendly Dr., on the night of July 7, Trooper Matthew Wecksser reported.
