Two people were charged with assault following an incident in the 1100 block of Slate Hill Rd., Drumore Township, at 11:45 p.m. on August 22, Trooper Aaron Davis reported. According to the trooper, A 19-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, both from Quarryville, tried to smash a mailbox. The property owner retrieved the bat and followed the teens, damaging their vehicle with the ball bat, the trooper said. The 17-year-old from Quarryville and the property owner, Daniel Eugene Hrischuk, were charged following the incident, the trooper said.
Police also reported the following incidents in the Southern End: COLERAIN TOWNSHIP VANDALISM - Someone damaged the mailbox and its post at 330 Mt. Eden Rd. on the night of August 31, Trooper Ryan L. Lawrence reported. TRESPASS - Robert Waltman Jr., 35, of Quarryville, and two 16-year-old boys were charged with trespassing after they were found swimming and fishing on Chester Walter Authority property on Black Rock Rd. at 5:02 p.m. on September 1, Trooper Elisha Bomberger reported. FORGERY - Someone used an Edna Lane resident's identity to open a Verizon wireless account on August 6, Trooper Ryan L. Lawrence reported. DRUMORE TOWNSHIP COLLISION - One driver was hurt when two vehicles collided on Susquehannock Dr. north of River Rd. at 6:50 a.m. on September 5, Trooper First Class Kelly Osborne-Filson reported. According to the trooper, Eileen C. Fisher, 22, of Drumore, pulled out from a private driveway and her car collided with a vehicle being driven south on Susquehannock Dr. by Harry C. Davis, no age given, of Holtwood. Fisher was slightly injured in the collision; neither driver was cited, the trooper said. EAST DRUMORE TOWNSHIP DUI COLLISION - Chad Allen Icenhour, 30, of Quarryville, was charged with driving under the influence following a one-car collision on Buck Rd. (Rt. 372) near Church Rd. at 1:15 a.m. on August 25, Trooper Aaron Davis reported. According to the trooper, Icenhour was driving west on Buck Rd. when he lost control of the 1998 Honda Civic. The car ran off the road and into a field, coming to a stop before the Honda regained the highway. COLLISION - Two people were slightly injured when a car collided with a truck on Buck Rd. (Rt. 372) west of Ridge Rd. at 7:59 a.m. on September 6, Trooper Nicholas Cortese reported. According to the trooper, a 16-year-old girl from Quarryville pulled from a driveway and her car collided with the rear wheels of a semi-trailer on Buck Rd. The teenage driver and her passenger, a 14-year-old girl from Quarryville, were taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The truck's driver, James H. Trivett, 34, of Coatesville, was not hurt. The 16-year-old driver was cited for the collision, the trooper said. HARASSMENT - A 16-year-old girl has been charged with threatening a 17-year-old boy while both were on a bus leaving Solanco High School, 585 Solanco Rd., at 2:50 p.m. on September 4, Trooper Jonathan Potoka reported. DUI - Kelly Lynn Felts, 24, of Nottingham, was charged with driving under the influence after state police stopped her vehicle on Rt. 272 at Rt. 372 at 2:07 a.m. on September 9, Trooper Peter Minko reported. EDEN TOWNSHIP BURGLARY - Someone got into the house at 280 Pumping Station Rd. between August 22 and 29, Trooper Dawn M. Carpenter reported. Once inside, the burglar took 25 to 30 DVDs, a Canon digital camera with lens, an additional camera lens, and other items, the trooper said. VANDALISM - Brian Graybill, 50, of Quarryville, was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged property at 1194 May Post Office Rd. at 10:25 p.m. on September 3, Trooper Dawn M. Carpenter reported. COLLISION - A car hit a black dog sitting in the middle of Rt. 472 at Dry Wells Rd. at 9:23 a.m. on August 26, Trooper Kendra Kaley said. The car sustained minor damage. The trooper did not identify the driver or indicate if the dog survived. PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP VANDALISM - Someone threw rocks at vehicles being driven in the 2300 block of Beaver Valley Pike (Rt. 222) at 11:40 p.m. on September 3, Trooper James Fassnacht reported. The rocks damaged the passenger sides of a pickup truck and an SUV that were southbound on the highway. VANDALISM - Someone sprayed messages on a pickup truck and a horse trailer parked at 156 Hopkins Mill Rd. on August 30 or 31, Trooper James Fassnacht reported. The vandals sprayed "They Kill Horses," "Death Ride," Free Horses," and "Death Camp." on the vehicles. The vehicles are owned by a horse rescue operation, the trooper said. BURGLARY - Someone broke into Mt. Airy Lumber Company, 548 Truce Rd., between August 30 and September 3, and made off with numerous items, Trooper Nelson D. Renno reported. BURGLARY - State police are looking for William Harrison Rehm III, no age given, of Lancaster, on charges he burglarized the home at 121 Smithville Rd. at 4:25 p.m. on September 2, Trooper Bertrum A. James reported. According to the trooper, Rehm got into the home and allegedly took several thousand dollars worth of jewelry and removed several video games.
