Contest Rules

1. Weekly contest starts every Tuesday, 12 am EST, and ends every Monday, 11:59 PM EST, from October 22, 2013 through November 18, 2013.
   
   
2. You must be at least 18 years old to play.
   
   
3. No purchase necessary.
   
   
4. Entries will be accepted online and by postal mail. Mailed entries must include first and last name, daytime phone number and email address. Please mail to Octoraro Publishing, P.O. Box 621, Quarryville, PA 17566 or P.O. Box 998, Rising Sun, MD. Only one mailed entry per person per week. Unlimited entries will be accepted online every week.
   
   
5. Enter as many times ONLINE as you wish. The more you enter online, the higher your chances of winning. The odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the number of entries received each week.
   
   
6. Each week there will be one winner. That's a total of 4 winners during the contest dates. Each week's winner shall win one gift card to a local business of Lancaster or Cecil County. The gift cards will be announced each week. There is no cash substitute for any prize won.
   
   
7. The first prize will be awarded to one entry drawn at random from among all entries received during Week One (10/22-10/28). The second prize will be awarded to one entry drawn at random from among all entries received during Week Two (10/29-11/4). The third prize will be awarded to one entry drawn at random from among all entries received during Week Three (11/5-11/11). The fourth and final prize will be awarded to one entry drawn at random from among all entries received during Week Four (11/12-11/18).
   
   
8. Limit one (1) prize per household/family for the duration of the contest.
   
   
9. You do not need to be present to win. Judge's decisions are final.
   
   
10. All winners will be announced in the following week’s newspaper ad and online via heraldandchronicle.com, Facebook and Twitter.
    
    
11. All winners will be notified by phone and/or email and arrangements made to provide them with their prizes.
    
    
12. Should a weekly winner be unable to accept the prize, a second drawing will be immediately held from among all entries received to choose a new weekly winner.
    
    
13. Octoraro Publishing reserves the right to alter any rules of any contest at any time.
