Violet Mae (Robbins) Bacon, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, to the late Edward R. Robbins, Sr. and Violet Mae (Clevenstine) Robbins. Violet was the wife of the late Warren William Bacon. She lived most of her life in various towns in southern New Jersey, while raising seven children. She worked for many years as a secretary/receptionist at Cumberland Christian School in Vineland, New Jersey. In 1998, Violet moved into the Quarryville Presbyterian Community, where she lived until her death. She is survived by her children: Helen Keepfer and Rebecca Kenyon (Everett) of Vineland, NJ; Robert Bacon of Flagstaff, AZ; Samuel Bacon (Elaine) of Marlton, NJ; Kathryn Strange (Alan) of South Holland, IL; 25 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren W. Bacon and brothers, Edward R. Robbins, Jr. of Bridgeton, NJ; and Robert Robbins of California.
A celebration of Violet's life will be held at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, 625 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville, PA 17566 on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11 AM. There will be a visitation from 10- 11 AM. Traditional interment will be private in the Quarryville Cemetery.
