Shirley (Rinier) Trimble, 83, entered into Heaven on Thursday, December 13, 2018, due to complications from a fall. She resided at Long Community. Shirley was the daughter of the late Ira and Myrtle Rinier. Shirley was known by “Grammy” to many. She loved little kids and animals and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Since her passing, we have heard from many about her kindness and impact she has had on many people who crossed her path. Her favorite song was “Old Time Rock and Roll” and her loved ones will always think of her when hearing that song. She was an avid Phillies fan, her favorite player was Bobby Abreu. Shirley attended Faith United Methodist Church and more recently attended church services at Long Community. She is survived by daughters; Dawn (Buddy) Ross and Cindy (Wally) Hockensmith. Grandchildren: Nathan, Mandy, Shannon, and Luke, along with their spouses, each professing to be her “favorite”. Also, six great grandchildren whom she adored. Shirley also has two surviving siblings, Sue and Jim. She will be missed by her best friend at the Long Community, Shirley Hambright. Shirley was one of 12 children. Preceding her in death were Richard, Evelyn, Ira, Jr., Arlene, Harold, Pat, Judy, and Faye. She was also preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Nancy. She and Nancy were very much alike. Even in their adult lives, often showing up at events wearing matching outfits unbeknownst to each other.
