Richard Lee Wiggins, 87, New Providence, PA, loving husband, father, and grandfather was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 11, 2018. He was born in West Chester, PA, on July 13, 1931, a son of the late Cecil Edward and Bertha Lee Franklin Wiggins. He served as a sergeant in the US Army, Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1955. After his time in the military he worked as a truck driver at the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville, PA. He also served as an ordained minister at New Providence Baptist Church, New Providence, PA. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 61 years, Mary Jo, 6 children, Richard Wiggins, Jr. (Vicky), Brenda Adams (Tom), Linda Roland (Jerry), Pam Harsh (Jeff), William Wiggins (Angie), and Betty Waltman (Mike), 17 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers, Cecil, Edward, James and Charles. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at New Providence Baptist Church, 2411 Beaver Valley Pike, Quarryville, PA. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Kirkwood, PA.
