Richard F. "Dick" Miller of Quarryville died at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on Sunday, February 16, 2014. He was 85. Mr. Miller was born in Lancaster, a son of the late Vernon and Dora Shank Miller. He lived in Cochranville before moving to Quarryville. He worked as a route salesman for Herr's Potato Chips, Nottingham, for 33 years before retiring.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren. He was also a member of the Cochranville Fire Company and the Odd Fellows. Mr. Miller enjoyed traveling and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Kreider Miller; three children, Richard F. Jr., husband of Cindi Miller of Willow Street, Dale, husband of Bonnie Miller of Cochranville, and Pam, wife of Richard Garver of Paradise; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary-Emma Bollinger of Lancaster. His first wife, Vera Ridinger Miller, died in 2003. A brother and three sisters are also deceased. Friends may call at the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 20. Services will be held from the church at 2 p.m. on that date with Pastor James Rhen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren. Arrangements were made through Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Quarryville. Comments are closed.
