When Mitchell 'Mitch' White walked into a room, his presence was felt by all. On Saturday, January 6, 2018 our world felt the loss of this great man, as he gained his wings and crossed over to another adventure. Mitch was a man who loved and supported the community he lived and worked in. His younger years were spent on a hammermill working with some of his family, followed by some years as an over the road truck driver. He found his true calling as business owner, and Paradise Concrete led him to work closely with the Amish community he so loved and respected. Mitch continued as a personal driver even after retiring from the business world in 2008. He is survived by the wife whom he loved with all his heart, Nancy L. (McGuire). They celebrated 44 years of marriage in August. He is also survived by his children: Michelle, Louisiana; Lisa, m. Chris Haltiner, New York; Kenneth McGuire, m. to Natalie, Willow Street; Nicole, m. to Jason Molyneux, Millersville; Stephanie, Lancaster; and Angela, m. to Fred Anderson, Coatesville. Grandchildren: Holly, David, Zachery, Jarett, Taylor, Joel, Katelyn, Kaylee, Alexa, Maddy, Cameron, and Kloey. His siblings: Robert m. to Patricia, Mount Joy; Sharon (Bloom), Lancaster; Linda (Todd), North Carolina; William m. to Sandy, Millersville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dorothy (Hensel); Brothers Tom, Raymond, and Pete; Sisters Patricia (Derr) and Gloria.
Mitch was a man who was truly larger than life and his impact on all who knew him was profound. He was a fearless leader and a selfless helper who taught his children that honor, respect and a healthy work ethic were the foundation, that love and strength in family is where your heart belonged, and giving to your community keeps you connected and real. His absence in this world will be felt, but the richness with which he blessed our lives will never fade. A Celebration of Life will be held at the family's convenience. Interment will be private. Donations can be made in Mitch's memory to Hospice and Community Care of Lancaster County. Arrangements entrusted to Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Quarryville, PA. www.reynoldsfuneralhome.net Comments are closed.
