Marlene E. “Tootie” McCrabb, 76, of Tanglewood, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at her home. She was the loving wife of Charles H. “Skip” McCrabb. They were married for 53 years until Skip’s recent passing on March 2. Born in New Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carl G., Sr., and Emma (Doulin) Aukamp. Marlene had a deep love for horses. She was very fond of her horse Rex, who was a grandson of Roy Roger’s horse Trigger. In her spare time, Marlene enjoyed polka and square dancing with Skip, as well as playing Parcheesi together. Marlene and Skip truly loved one another and were inseparable, and now after a few days apart are back together again. Marlene is survived by a brother, Raymond “Bill” Aukamp, and wife Grace, of New Providence; sisters, Mabel Gebhart, and husband John, of New Providence, and Rosie Roten, of Tanglewood; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl G. Aukamp, Jr, and Arlin D. Aukamp, and sisters, Ruth Snyder, Myrtle Benedict, and Lorraine McCullough.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019, at Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, 227 West 4th Street, Quarryville, with a viewing at the funeral home from 10 – 11 a.m. Interment in Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetery will take place immediately following the service.
