Margaret E. “Peg” Graetz, 89, of Quarryville, entered into the presence of the Lord she loved on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She was the beloved wife of Edward A. Graetz, sharing 68 years of marriage together. Born in Summit, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Feeney) Nuse. Peg was a graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ. She was a homemaker, and loved caring for her family and others. Peg loved sewing, riding her bicycle, swimming, and eating apples. She was a member of Grace Church at Willow Valley. Peg was always involved in the churches she attended over the years, and she was very supportive of missions. She was a woman of deep faith, prayer, and encouragement, and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband, Peg is survived by her daughters, Sue (Paul) Hoiland, of Strasburg, and Shirl (Randy) Pearson, of Willow Street; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Betty Massaro, of Lansdale, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Grace Church of Willow Valley, 300 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA 17602, with a viewing at the church from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Peg’s memory to Open Doors at www.opendoorsusa.org, or to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
