Linda J. Armstrong, 69, of Lancaster, passed through the veil to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday April 15, 2018 after 15 months of treatment for thymic carcinoma. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Marie (Hilton) Dull and the late J. Donald Dull. Linda and her husband, James C. Armstrong, had celebrated 48 years of marriage in August. Linda graduated from Solanco High School and went on to earn a B.S. in mathematics from Wheaton College, IL. Linda taught high school math in Chicago, IL, Brooklyn, NY and Lancaster. Most recently she was the Facilities and Business Director at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center for 15 years. Linda was an active member of Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church and Wheatland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed music, knitting, and crafts, but her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her family. In addition to her mother and husband, Linda is survived by a son, Timothy J. (Hope M.) Armstrong of Akron; 3 daughters: Heather Armstrong (Barrett Kepfield) of Iowa; Stephanie Armstrong (Jennifer Lobo) of Lancaster; and Christine Armstrong (John Arndt) of Lancaster. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren: J. Conor Armstrong and Nola Lobo; a brother, Kenneth Dull and sisters, Donna Siegel, Cynthia Mitchell, and Carol Young.
A service of worship will take place at Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church, 611 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Traditional interment is private in the Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetery.
