K. Richard Miller, 72, of Willow Street, entered into rest on September 11, 2018 under hospice care. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late H.C. and Janet (Todd) Miller. Dick and his wife, Catherine A. Miller had celebrated 50 years of marriage in May. Dick graduated in 1964 from Solanco High School and went on to service his country in the US Army from 1965-1967. He retired from Commonwealth Telephone after 38 years of service. Dick enjoyed motorcycles and cars along with NASCAR and being a Flyers complainer. He also was a member of the Tanglewood Men’s Golf League and member of HOG. Surviving besides his wife are daughters; Melissa A., wife of John Russell of Willow Street, and Jennifer, wife of Ian Cannon of Strasburg, along with grandchildren; Alexis, Liam, Jordan and Aine and great grandchildren Aubrey and Hunter. Also Dick is survived by his sister, Khay, wife of Richard Rutt and a brother, David L. Miller, husband of Jen. Services celebrating Dick’s life will be on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Wesley Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville at 1:00 PM. Friends will have an opportunity to greet the family immediately following the service. Casual dress is recommended.
