Judson Roy Wagner, 42, of North East, MD and formerly of Quarryville, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2017 at Christiana Hospital of natural causes. The son of Don and Jan Wagner of Quarryville, Jud was a graduate of Solanco High School, and a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church. In 2016, Jud graduated Summa Cum Laude from Community College of Baltimore County with a degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling. He worked as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor in Maryland, most recently for BNJ Health Services. He was passionate about helping others overcome addiction and fighting the opioid epidemic. Jud is survived by his parents, Don and Jan Wagner, and two sisters, Laura Walker and Linda Moyer, as well as three nieces and a nephew.
He loved spending time with his family, and always brought big hugs and loud laughter to any gathering. Jud loved fishing and other outdoor activities, especially riding four wheelers, jet skis, and snowmobiles. He enjoyed cooking, especially on the grill or perfecting his pasta sauce. Jud’s favorite place was the beach, and he recently vacationed there with his family. A memorial service will be held at Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville, PA on January 14, 2018 at 4:00 pm with visitation following in the Family Life Center.
