James R. Angeline, of Peach Bottom, died at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, November 4, 2013. He was 82. "Jimmy" as he was lovingly known, was born in Drumore, son of the late John and Madeline Angeline. He and is wife, Betty Jean has celebrated 36 years of marriage in May. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany. Following his service term he became a welder, working at the former Port Deposit Shipyard. Jimmy went to work at the Burnham Corp. in Lancaster. After retirement, he worked for the Solanco School District, where he oversaw maintenance of the athletic fields. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and the Chestnut Level Hunting Camp. He loved to fish, hunt and collect coins. Mr. Angeline is survived by his wife, Betty Jean; a son, James Angeline, Jr., of Peach Bottom and a daughter, Sonia, wife of Allen Wilder, of Drumore; sisters, Betty Kreider, of Chestnut Level, Maggie Hake, of California and Mary and Rosie Angeline, both of Landisville. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by six brothers. Friends can call at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, on Wednesday, November 6 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 7 at 11 a.m. at the church, with Rev. Robert A. Yohe, Jr., as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lancaster Cancer Center, 1858 Charter Lane, Lancaster, PA 17601.
