George “Pop” Noe, 90, of Quarryville, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Lancashire Hall. He was the loving husband of the late Mildred Noe, sharing 55 years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2009. Born in Welch, WV, he was the son of the late David and Clara (Hawpton) Noe. George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Over the years, George was employed by the Hubley Manufacturing Company, Ezra Martin Meat Company, and Rubin Steel. In recent years, George kept active by maintaining the operations at the Engleside Car Wash. He also enjoyed having breakfast with his friends at the Willow Street Restaurant. George is survived by a step-son, James (Carol) Cantrell, of Texas; step-daughters, Mary (Pete) Tossone, of West Virginia, and Linda Roberts, of New Providence; and a brother, Randolph Noe, of West Virginia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Royce McCrabb.
A committal service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 15, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, RR#2, Box 484 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA 17003 (please arrive no later than 11 a.m.).
