Fern Ivy Leonard, 86, of Pequea, entered into rest on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Lancashire Hall. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Ivy (Rathski) Wagner. She was married to the late George W. Leonard, Jr. who died in 1999. Fern had worked as an assembler for the former Hubley Toy Co. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, watching soap operas and spending time with her family and her dog, baby. Fern is survived by her children: Norman Leonard of Pequea; Barry, wife of Ruth Leonard of New Providence; Michael, husband of Tina Leonard of Pequea; and Kathy Cooper of Pequea; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Ethel Grandle, Shirley Stokes, Marilyn Pizarro, and Earl Wagner. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dick and John Wagner. A memorial service will take place at Clearfield United Methodist Church, 1238 Rawlinsville Rd., New Providence, PA on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Weeple officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow the service in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
