David Swisher Huber, 89, of Peach Bottom, entered into rest on Monday, October 17, 2016. He was the son of the late Ammon and Freda (Swisher) Huber. He and his wife, Charlotte (Shoemaker) celebrated 67 years of marriage in June. David owned and operated the Big Wing Dairy Farm in Fulton Twp. He was a member of Wakefield Lions Club, Pennsylvania Flying Farmers and International Flying Farmers. He served as Fulton Township Supervisor for eighteen years and Auditor for twenty-two years. David also served as Elder and Deacon at the Little Britain Presbyterian Church where he had been a member since 1944. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children; James, husband of Carole Holloway of Peach Bottom, Joyce Gundrum of Lancaster, Thomas, husband of Peggy Douts of Quarryville, Lois Yinger, wife of Robert of Carlisle, and Janet Braightmeyer, wife of Brian of Quarryville. Eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters; Pearl Best and Ruby Johnston along with a great-great grandson, James Dundore.
Funeral Services will be at the Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Road, Peach Bottom, PA on Sunday evening, October 23, 2016 at 6:30 pm. Friends will have an opportunity to visit with the family immediately following the service. Public interment will be at 4:00 pm on Monday, October 24th in the Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetery.
