David Irwin Aument, 62, of Quarryville, went home to be with his Lord, on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born in Holtwood, he was a son of the late Clyde R. and June Marie (Osman) Aument. Dave and his wife, Wanda L. (Graver) Aument had celebrated 43 years of marriage in March. Dave was a 1973 graduate of Solanco High School. He owned and operated D.I. Aument Trucking in Quarryville. Dave was a member of Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church and a member of the Goldwing Motorcycle Riders Association. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed coaching Midget Baseball. One of his proudest achievements was coaching the 1996 Lancaster New Era Baseball Champions. Dave also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife, he is survived by sons; Ryan, husband of Kate, and Greg, husband of Loring; along with grandchildren: John David “Jack”, June Margaret and Avery Loring Aument. Also surviving are two brothers and three sisters.
Services celebrating Dave’s life will be on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church, 611 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville at 11:00 am. There will not be a visitation prior to the service, but friends will have an opportunity to visit the family immediately following the service on Saturday and also on Friday evening at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Please omit flowers; because of the wonderful care the family would like contributions to go to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
